Continental AG, commonly known as Continental and colloquially as Conti, is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist that develops and produces sustainable, safe and convenient solutions for automotive manufacturers as well as industrial and end customers worldwide. Headquartered in Hanover, Lower Saxony, it is the world's third-largest automotive supplier and the fourth-largest tire manufacturer. Continental specializes in tires, brake systems, vehicle electronics, automotive safety, powertrain, chassis components, tachographs, and other parts for the automotive and transportation industries.
Continental currently consists of two group sectors: Tires and ContiTech. The divisions Chassis and Safety, Powertrain, Interior and ADAS belonged to the Automotive segment, which was spun off as Vitesco and Aumovio. ContiTech is earmarked for sale in 2026. It sells tires for automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles worldwide under the Continental brand.
